Cancelled Protest:The Trials 2face survived that his detractors won't speak of

Protest cancellation: The victory 2face achieved that his detractors will never admit or pronounce.

Many received the news of the cancellation of the February 6 nationwide protest spearheaded by the Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2face Idibia with utter dismay and chagrin, with different name calling, people calling him a coward, others suggesting that he has been compromised and have received bribe, while others made a twist to is name calling him a two-faced individual, but in all I would have expected a miracle if the protest had held in a country without any foundation and tenets of democracy.

1.      Tuface looked beyond monetary gratification

First Nigerians must admit the fact that it takes a lot for a celebrity of 2face’s status that is still in his prime and active music career to voice out against politicians that are the major provider of their revenue when the invite them to their occasions and event. Many other celebrity of his status that have ties or intend to have ties with the current political party would not have shown interest in the first place. He knew the loss he will incur in joining the protest but was never hindered.

2.     Our security agencies cajoled him to reaching the regrettable decision

Those standing outside the heat of the bout would not know how many calls 2face has received from the High and mighty in Nigerian security ranking to cancel the protest or be faced with whatever consequences that will be as a resultant of the protest when properties are destroyed and life’s are lost. In saner climes the Nation security will all be deployed to make sure that protest is not hijacked by those that have intentions to use the medium in wrecking havoc and atrocities.

3.      We are not ready for this kind of protest as a Nation.

Need not look too far, have you asked yourself why would a counter protest be fixed on the day a protest has already been scheduled for, it’s all in the guise to cause the protest to be far from peaceful. In a country where people are civilized and understand that protest is not a war, the counter protest will never have resurfaced in the first place. To many the protest was seen as a movement to change the current government, which was never the case.

4.    The Idea behind the protest was misconstrued

The protest was not seen for what it actually was, some had the idea that it was all about the current government and the APC as a party and will in the long run play a major role in the 2019 polls and for this kind and their likes that would want to hold on to power in the 2019 elections there are ready to fight with their last blood to maim and kill whoever is going to stand their way. Do you know how many threats people like this would have sent the way of 2face Idibia against the February 6 protest.

5.       The Protest if Hijacked by Hoodlums and robbers, who will take the blame?

Tell me of any peaceful protest that has ever happened in Nigeria without the Police recording a case of accidental discharge of lead bullet and not rubber bullet designed to control crowd in other Nations of the world. Some of the people using all kind of word to abuse him for this decisions will become the Two-faced individual that they are currently tagging him, you will hear them mutter in silence and loud in public that 2face has caused the death of some people because of gratification he has received to lead a protest against the government of the day.

The victory he achieved are innumerable, he has been able to make the poor and the needy of our nation know that he is ready to speak out against the ills bedeviling our society and won’t mind what people will say about him or his past. Many of his previous update on social media about what the problems of our country is that need quick revamping and attention has been read by many of our leaders and I am sure they will know we are watching. This would not have been the case if it was not a person of is status that played the role he played. He can bow out with the assurance that he achieved victory even in the cancellation. He is a rare gem and with this he has started a thing that will soon make others that have not had the courage to speak before now to thread the path he has taken, if all celebrity can start singing, tweeting and speaking of the ills of our society and not the number of houses they have or woman they carry, Nigeria will surely become the country of our dream.

Why do most unemployed Nigerians want a Job but reject marketing jobs at all cost?

Why do most unemployed Nigerians want Job but reject marketing jobs at all cost?

I have always asked myself this question, and it seems to baffle reasoning that even in the dearth of Jobs for fresh graduate and entry level position In Nigeria it’s not the same with marketing jobs as they are a lot of new advert daily looking to massively employ graduate with little or no experience and are ready to train them but many unemployed Nigeria will never even apply for a marketing Job even if it pays double of their current earnings.

The branch manager of that bank you crave to be in his position must have vast experience in marketing and no organisation will make anybody the branch manager if the person has not been a marketer before. The first thing a Nigerian will say after seeing a new opening is – ‘I hope this is not a marketing job’ , ‘it’s a marketing job, don’t apply’ etc.

The dread for marketing jobs have persuaded major company to put up advert that are meant to deceive or disguise as a different kind of job to applicant not to know that they are actually applying for a marketing job until they arrive the company and are informed of the full job description of the position they are being interviewed and assessed for.

You will see job title like Customer service executive, client support executive, business development executive, relationship officer, client relationship executive etc. with job description that will never indicate that it is a marketing job and can only be deciphered by those that have this knowledge beforehand. It was not the case a decade ago, where marketing jobs come as marketing job and bear the title of marketing and the exact job description, what have changed.

It may not be far-fetched from poor working conditions, where unemployed are asked to use their money to mobilize for new and prospective customers and in some event where they are unable to close deals with new customers they won’t be paid salary or even commission. Most are also employed as contract staffs and this is someone that is supposed to be treated with good conditions since they are saddled with meeting with client that will remain with you for many decades even after they leave, some are not even provided with any means of transportation to meet new or old client.

I think they is more to this, why do you think most Nigerians flee marketing jobs, compared to my observation in other nations of the world.

This will make you shake your head in dismay with recruitment requirement in Nigeria

Sometimes you just have to wonder what's the need for the work experience written against a particular job. if a job that requires just sweeping and washing will be needing 3 years experience, then what fate lies our youth that will be 24 years and the recruiters will be asking for 5-6 Years experience (is it ASUU strike experience or school closure due to hike in fees experience).

May be you guys can educate me better, what's the relevance of the 3 years experience in this particular position?

Job seeker? Have you not been getting invite, What's your Do-Not-Disturb status?

This year NCC introduced the DND (Do-Not-Disturb service to network ooerators that enables customers to opt out from receiving promotional messages from Networks which you nay not know that it sometimes affect third parties who send bulk SMS's as Nd other VAS promotion s. Some subscribers even complain that their lines have been automatically activated for the Do-Not-Disturb service pending when they choose to deactivate it.

This is what you must do to check if your line is being limited by DND.

Text STATUS TO 2442 To know your status on the DND service.

I know how it feels like as a job seeker, you have just sent a killer cover letter and an impressive curriculum vitae for that dream job and you just got information from others that applied for the same job that they've started recieving invite for assessment and you are, earnestly waiting and longing for your own invite, and behold the message finally comes, you were very eager and curious to check but to your surprise it was yet as another MTN message, requesting you to recharge your line with N500 from your GTB account, when you are still struggling to recharge N100 or another SMS requesting you to subscribe for cooking tips on how to make EBA without using turning stick, sharply out of annoyance, you activated the block all messages on the Do-Not-Disturb service.

What this may have caused you may be far regrettable from missing one invite out of the numerous applications that you have sent.

Companies and recruiting firms have found out that messages sent to some mobile phones of recent are not always received by applicants. The reason for this is because majority of them have subscribed for the FULL blocking mode in the Do-Not-Disturb service and you know its not all companies that sends email invite as some prefers sending SMS's to their job applicants, especially when it is on short notice or impromptu or if that's their mode of operation.

Don't think the DND service is an opportunity for you to say the long awaiting bye bye to your service providers disturbing messages, you may be the one at loss even if you are not a Job seeker.

Consider opting out by sending ALLOW to 2442, or text help to 2442

7 annoying things Ladies do when they are dressed to kill

Let me make it clear that i am not a misogynist but when you observe our ladies you have to just give them credit for going the extra miles to be annoying when dressed.

1. Drags her skimpy gown to reach its elastic limit so it won’t reveal too much of her laps
You almost think that a lady is perhaps wearing the gown of her younger sister when she drags her clothe that is not sewed to reach the knees continuously every step she takes for it to cover her revealing laps. What was she expecting after buying her nieces sized gown? It’s just so annoying that when you are very close to them and they drag their gown, you would think she is suspecting that you are looking at her laps.

2. Wraps around her neck a scarf or clothing that’s not an accessory to the dress she is wearing to cover her cleavage.
Every clothing is designed for the style and glamour it is meant to portray, if the designers of an apparel has made it to stand alone and bring out the beauty in the person that intends to buy and wear it, then you ought to consider if it will be revealing any part of your body and this should be a decider for you to choose the cloth. But our ladies will buy and wear a dress only for them to wrap their neck or chest to cover their cleavage, is it that the clothe is outgrowing the owner, why should you buy the cloth when you don’t feel comfortable if it will be revealing any part of the body?

3. Finds it difficult to sit comfortably without the aid of cardigan or any clothing to cover her laps because of her dress?
Why do ladies go through all the stress of dressing to kill, only for them to find it difficult to sit comfortably unaided? You either find them placing a handkerchief, cardigan, scarf or any other clothing on their laps so that their laps won’t be too revealing. More annoying is that most of them hardly know how to sit and cross the legs well when they sit or even the fact that they do this in religious places makes you wonder what they have in mind before wearing the attire. You weren’t forced to be a Beyoncé or Kim Kardashian styled celebrity!

4. Find it difficult to sit on a bike

It is not as if you are coming from mars oh. A lady will dress from home and common sense should at least prevail that she will be boarding a bike to the place she intends going, but the lady will choose a cloth from her closet that when worn, she can hardly raise her feet 10 inches above the floor talk less of boarding a bike. The bike rider would have to bend the bike almost reaching the floor before the lady can be able to sit on the bike and when she finally sits, she will still be trying all her best to cover her laps even though she knows it’s almost impossible doing that on a bike.

5. wears a see through clothe and wonders why people are looking at her
Some lady’s way of thinking defiles all manner of wisdom. A lady will on a broad day light choose to wear a cloth that is a see through and will suddenly be surprised why people are giving her an unhindered attention. Put on an attire that you will never be ashamed of and not just anything because it was worn by Halle berry in a movie, I repeat, in a movie!

6. Goes out with high – heeled shoe comes back with slippers

We know that a lady must keep up, if she still wants to be in the game, but try as much as possible to pick shoes that the build won’t cause you unwanted pain barely 10 minutes of wearing it – this is the sole reason why a lady will go out with a beautiful and classy high – heeled shoe only to come back with a slipper. To catwalk no be by force na

7. Reveal her underwear because she has no belt on
Fashion or madness? A lady will put on a jean or trouser that doesn’t fit her waist and in doing so, the part of her underwear will be revealing, she will start the dragging war from home, in commercial buses, on the street and even on the bike, and this unnecessary embarrassment would have been avoided by either getting a trouser that sizes her waist or by simply using a belt. Or is it intentional to look sexy?
